What is garage headroom?
Headroom refers to the amount of space above the opening. The distance from the top of the opening to the ceiling. The space needed for a tilt door or roller door to fit. Sometimes, headroom is not the issue but other obstructions such as ceiling pipes or beams.
I don’t have enough overhead room for a roller or tilt door. Would a bi-fold solve my problem?
Yes, as the motors and bi-fold mechanisms are on the back of the gate itself and folding back to the sides, it doesn’t need any overhead room. Being trackless, it is very quiet and smooth.
Am I limited with design choice?
All gates are custom made to your design choice and colour. There are no limits, as the motors and hardware on the back/inside of the gate.
Are bi-folds secure?
Bi-folds are extremely secure. When closed, they lock into a centre ground lock in the drive or a ceiling lock.
Will my door still work if the power goes out?
With all our bi-fold packages, a battery backup is included. The gate will still operate if there is a power outage.
