Material Choice
Bi-fold garage doors are installed between the building structure, saving space. They are the solution for tight spaces when traditional roller or tilt doors won’t fit.
The bi-fold frames are made from 40x40mm powder coated Duragal RHS steel.
Materials can be either fixed to the front, or placed within the frame, as a picture frame look.
With many design choices, the world is your oyster.
Modern, traditional, country or contemporary, the choice is yours.

Decorative Hinges –
WITH OR WITHOUT – if you are wanting a barn style look, we can offer barn style hinges.
With our bi-folds they require heavy duty bearing hinges which can’t be changed. But we can attach a dummy decorative hinge to give your door that extra little personality.
Insulation – with or without
Polystyrene Insulation Sheets – you may like to have a little extra protection from the heat and cold, by having each panel insulated. Insulation is placed on the inside of the door panels. Each panel is custom-cut to fit neatly within each framed section.
Leave as is…. Or if you prefer the insulation to be camouflaged or hidden, simply paint or have sheeting installed over the top.
Rubber Seals & Brushes
Standard Inclusions:
Rubber Seals, Top & Bottom Brushes, Ground or Ceiling Lock Plate, Battery Backup and PE Photocells, are all standard inclusions with our bi-fold garage doors.
Automatic bi-fold trackless doors require operational clearance gaps between each panel, centre and posts. To minimise these gaps, we close them down with rubber seals on each panel edging, and brushes top and bottom to help with privacy and wind draught.
Powder Coat Finish
Standard Inclusion:
Frames, Posts and Bi-Fold Hardware are powder coated to your colour choice.
Standard Duralloy / Colour-Bond colours are included in quote.
Premium colours are available, but at an extra cost.
Premium is recommended to those who are less than 100m from salt water.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is garage headroom?
Headroom refers to the amount of space above the opening. The distance from the top of the opening to the ceiling. The space needed for a tilt door or roller door to fit. Sometimes, headroom is not the issue but other obstructions such as ceiling pipes or beams.
I don’t have enough overhead room for a roller or tilt door. Would a bi-fold solve my problem?
Yes, as the motors and bi-fold mechanisms are on the back of the gate itself and folding back to the sides, it doesn’t need any overhead room. Being trackless, it is very quiet and smooth.
Am I limited with design choice?
All gates are custom made to your design choice and colour. There are no limits, as the motors and hardware on the back/inside of the gate.
Are bi-folds secure?
Bi-folds are extremely secure. When closed, they lock into a centre ground lock in the drive or a ceiling lock.
Will my door still work if the power goes out?
With all our bi-fold packages, a battery backup is included. The gate will still operate if there is a power outage.
