The Client’s Need –
Having a sloping drive plus a 3 car drive, our client needed a full opening. The gates had to swing back more than 90 degrees and lift 150 mm to clear drive. Including a matching pedestrian gate with lock plus matching fence inserts, made to our client’s specific design.
Swing gates were an option but were not able to secure the gates in the closed position because of the stop that would have been needed with a large swing gate. Our client could not have a stop in the drive because of the clearance needed for his low specialty cars.
Sliding gates were not an option because the drive was offset and track would have been across the footpath in garden.
The Solution –
Our client’s only option to meet all his needs and requirements was the trackless bi-fold gate. Giving him the opening and lift he needed, with no tracks and no ground stop encroaching on his drive.
The Outcome –
The outcome was a trackless bifold gate that lifted slightly 80mm and went back 120 degrees giving the clearance needed for the drive. His problem was solved. With the added bonus of a gate which is so smooth and so quiet.
Our client was immensely surprised that it could be done and is extremely happy with the overall outcome.
